About Us

Alan W. Solway, M.D., P.C. has served patients in Southeastern Michigan for almost three decades. Alan Solway, M.D. has been in practice in Livonia since 1985. He took over the practice from Dr. Jerome Davis, who was the first ophthalmologist in the area.

Dr. Solway established a tradition of excellence early in his career. He completed extra fellowship in training of the diseases of the retina. Modern cataract surgery was in its infancy. He taught surgical technique to other doctors in national courses and at the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

The practice flourished over the next two decades, where it continues to stay up with the latest technological advances and purchased the latest equipment.

The practice is dedicated to the highest quality of medical and surgical care of the eye. We are available to discuss complex issues regarding your vision. We have the answers to difficult questions about why you can’t see properly and why your eye’s don’t feel the way they should.

The office has undergone four renovations and expansions in the same building. The current office expansion/renovation was completed in 2012. We have state of the art equipment for diagnosis and therapeutic treatment.
